Railway Protection Force officers in India helped a passenger reunite with her husband after she was left behind at Prayagraj Chheoki station on Thursday, October 22. Ramkali Devi, from Madhubani in Bihar, had been travelling with her husband, Shibu Rawat. The pair became separated after Rawat got off their train to obtain water.
Rawat had stepped onto the platform first, and Devi followed him. He managed to board the train again, but she remained at the station. After a report about the missing passenger came through a helpline, sub-inspector Ashraf Ali Khan contacted Devi's son, Arjun Kumar, and obtained details. A team then searched the station for Devi.
Officers found her sitting on a bench on platform 4. She appeared confused, so they took her to the CCTV room and informed her family. Rawat arrived at the Railway Protection Force post at Prayagraj Chheoki soon afterwards. Officers carried out verification before bringing the couple back together.
