Samsung Solve for Tomorrow, a youth technology innovation programme in India, selected four winning teams at its New Delhi finale on October 21. Samsung India says their prototypes are being developed toward market readiness; effectiveness at commercial scale is not established. Winners will receive mentoring and incubation support from FITT at IIT Delhi to develop them further.
QuantHunt, from Raebareli in Uttar Pradesh, designed AI software to identify encryption weaknesses and prepare systems for quantum-computing risks. morphism, from Raipur in Chhattisgarh, designed AI to help autistic people interpret emotions through subtle facial expressions and behavioural signals. New Delhi’s InnoBotix designed Sentinel, a solar-powered edge AI device combining cameras, radar and seismic data to warn settlements of approaching wildlife, according to Samsung.
Somatrace, from Hyderabad in Telangana, designed a connected wearable measuring spinal angles and load to help precision-sport athletes and coaches assess injury risk. Selection lasted six months, with 184 design-thinking workshops in 135 cities, bootcamps, prototype development and pitch evaluations. Entries came from 648 cities across 28 states and seven union territories; over half came from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
