Breakfast brought a small change for Finn by his fourth day in foster care in England. As his foster carer arrived with the meal, he pressed his head into their hand. The male cat, whom his carers estimate is no older than two, had been frightened when first taken to a veterinary practice.
That head push has become a way Finn continues to seek affection from a hand. He also settles onto a lap for cuddles, with one session lasting 90 minutes. When he is not resting on a lap, his playthings include balls, toy mice and knotted toys, with an occasional leaf joining the collection.
Outside, Finn sits watching birds for hours. His carers say he is still nervous around people he has not met before and needs time to develop trust. They are seeking an experienced, patient adopter who can give him safe access to the outdoors.
