Hip Hop al Parque, a music and urban-culture festival in Bogotá, Colombia, is scheduled for October 24 and 25 at Simón Bolívar Park. Admission to the 28th edition is free for people older than 14. The programme includes Colombia's Ali A.K.A. Mind on Saturday evening and Chile's Portavoz & DJ Jopsen on Sunday evening.
City authorities said gates would open at noon and performances would finish by 9:40 p.m. on both days. The earlier schedule is intended to help visitors get home safely by public transport. Nearby roads are to close during the event, and officials encourage visitors to use public transport. The edition highlights neighbourhoods as places of creativity and cultural expression.
Bogotá's culture, recreation and sport secretariat describes hip hop culture as bringing together rap, DJing, breaking and graffiti. Canal Capital plans television, digital-platform and social-media coverage of the festival, starting at 1 p.m. on Saturday and noon on Sunday.
