Saikindō, a Japanese-inspired hi-fi bar and lounge at Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi, has received three design honours, the hotel announced in October 2026. On Al Maryah Island, the venue opened on November 29, 2025, with a space developed alongside design studio AvroKO. Curated vinyl listening forms part of the experience.
The honours comprise the Best Bar Design Award associated with the World’s 50 Best Bars, plus two titles from the 2026 Restaurant & Bar Design Awards: Best Overall Bar and Best Middle East & Africa Restaurant/Bar. The interior draws on Japan’s listening-bar culture and the Japanese Metabolism architectural movement.
Wood panelling, textured walls, selected furnishings and custom acoustic elements form part of the bar’s design. A separate dining area, the Tokyo-inspired Robata Room, includes an open robata grill and a chef’s counter. Japanese film posters and wood tones are also part of that room’s design.
