The Doctor Angel Gallardo Provincial Museum of Natural Sciences in Rosario, Argentina, is scheduled to reopen on Friday, October 23, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. Its building at San Lorenzo 1949 has been closed for approximately two years. Work included roof waterproofing, ceiling replacement, electrical refurbishment and entrance repairs, plus changes to lighting, signs and outdoor spaces and renewed pavements on Dorrego and Moreno streets.
The renewed programme covers biodiversity, scientific collections and museum history. One main exhibition explores Santa Fe province’s biocultural diversity and links between territory and environment. Provincial museums director Laura D’Aloisio said the ground floor focuses on Santa Fe’s ecological regions, including rivers, wildlife and plants. Another exhibition presents biological, palaeontological and archaeological objects from the collections.
A third exhibition examines natural-history museums, while a temporary display combines photography and taxidermy. Displays will include a Carnotaurus dinosaur reproduction and objects stored for years. Visits are planned Thursday to Sunday, and educational institutions can already request school appointments.
